What is a birth doula?

A doula (DOO-lah) is a trained, non-medical professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to individuals and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. I offer education on the process and stages of labor, induction methods, comfort measures/techniques, interventions, cervical exams, birth anatomy, Cesarean birth, VBACs, breastfeeding, informed decision making, and much more! My goal is to minimize fears & make your birth experience a positive one!
